The Australian designed and built Golf Caravans have just released the all new Golf Tourer hard top caravan range which is an all new series of light adventure touring vans. Golf caravans have always had a strong tradition of building stylish modern caravans and the all new Golf Tourer range is no exception. The Tourer is available in a variety of layouts but the first vans to be released will be the 556, 577, 607, 650 and the 650-3.

These vans have been designed for the modern travelling family looking to do the big lap around Australia. Unlike the many other family vans Golf has on offer, the Tourer does not have canvas bed ends which offers greater security and insulation when setting up for extended periods.

Both layouts include a full ensuite, large galley style kitchen café, dinette seating, bunk beds and plenty of internal and external storage while still having the ability to sleep up to 7 people.

The Golf Tourer has been designed to include an extremely efficient 12 volt power system which includes 2 x 135w solar panels, 2 house batteries and the Projecta PM300 power management system which is a full set and forget system. Including centralised wiring 35A power supply and 20A charger and remote L.E.D display to keep you informed at all times. The internal digital display features water level and sensor inputs switches for water pump, night mode buttons, DC/DC charging system to charge the van while you drive and 30A PWM solar. This smart and efficient system will allow you to spend more time free camping and enjoying the great outdoors.

With the combination of the comfortable layouts, stylish design and large of standard accessories, the Golf Tourer is the ultimate light adventure touring van to get out and travel Australia in style.

The 556 Tourer: offers a stylish modern layout that includes a large island double bed, cafe dinette seating, large galley style kitchen, full ensuite with separate shower and toilet, and a large front tunnel boot.

The 577 and 650 Tourers: the 577 Tourer has been designed with an east west bed configuration and fitted to a single axle chassis, while the 650 offers a large front island bed and is sitting atop a tandem axle chassis. Both layouts include a full ensuite, large galley style kitchen, cafe dinette seating, bunk beds and plenty of internal and external storage while still having the ability to sleep up to 7 people.

Avan allow an amount of additional weight (Carrying Load) for each individual unit manufactured above the initial manufactured Tare Weight of the unit. This 'Carrying Load' is for the customers individual weight requirements and can be made up of 'any' additional weight they propose to load the unit up of. ie water, food, clothes etc. The standard unit carrying load Avan applies is: Single Axle; 300kg. Outback travel heights increase by 250mm. The tare and tow ball weight is only a guide and will change depending on accessories which are fitted to your van. it is advisable to discuss with your Avan representative.
